This project involved the design of a simulator and conference center in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania at the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center. The simulator is the new hands-on, educational space for the five architecture trades (Carpentry, Masonry, Electrical, HVAC/Plumbing, and Landscape). In this Simulator, students would be able to work collaboratively on projects and have interaction with local business and community in the Conference Center, where meetings and training could be held for employment and other business opportunities.

The building was designed to narrow along a spinal channel until it reaches a critical hingepoint, where the Simulator Building and Conference Center intersect. At this point, the building slightly rotates and expands outward towards the surrounding wetlands and city beyond. At this crucial moment, students in the Simulator and community members in the Conference center can meet and interact. This spaces also acts as a display showcase for projects the students constructed. The large walls of the Simulator are made of CMU to emphasize their strength and monumentality.
